I've built this project a few year's ago. Once in while I upgrade it like a week a go. Never had any problems and today I can't open it. I can open all my other projects but not this one.
This URL allows you to open AI2 to the Project List, without opening any project.
http://ai2.appinventor.mit.edu/?autoload=false
From that list, you can request Exports of Projects without trying to open them.
Upload the troublesome .aia here.
...
I imported it into the code server, went for a bathroom break, and it still hadn't opened.
The project is probably bariatric.
Next step is to upload the aia file to the unchive summarizer, or explore the aia as a zip file.
Project Properties in the aia (7zip) looks okay.
Will have to check out that lastopened=bdt screen for clogs.
This kumaraswamy.convertor sounds like trouble.
Is it new?
What does it do?
So here's the screen scm file for bdt:
Why does the bdt screen say its screen name property is Screen1?
I'm seeing leftover tools under the scars on this project.
Who operated on this project?
Given the nasty thing in screen bdt, let's see if I can bypass the Project Properties Last Screen Opened "convenience".
So I editted the properties file in 7zip, replacing the Last Opened Screen with Screen1.
Deleted the old Project, and uploaded the new aia.
Screen1 opened okay.
Then I switched to the bdt screen, and ...
The bdt screen thinks it is Screen1 too.
Time to strap the aia file to the table and cut it open.
On the way out, I went to delete the corrupted project on code2, but my previous delete forever had not yet run.
Might need a browser refresh to see it, or do I need to call a plumber?
It is the 4/5 year old original extension for image conversion by @Kumaraswamy.
The latest version (remixed and updated by me) is 3.9
Imported the patched aia, and stopped by that DO NOT DELETE screen:
It thinks it's Screen1 too!
Time to use the 7zip file deletion feature.
We don't need this.
If in doubt
Rip It Out
For good measure, I switched among the rest of the 14 screens, verifying that none of them thought they were Screen1.
So here's the new aia, with a clean bill of health:
bdt_20_android_16_beta.aia (896.1 KB)
But we're not finished here.
After a hospital screwup, the doctors meet to discuss how that could have been avoided.
So we have questions for you:
-
What did you do to the Project?
-
Where did you get the instructions for that?
I suspect I have some cleaning up to do in the FAQs.
