Qemu Crashing Emulator

I'm trying to assist one of our instructors who is experiencing crashing with the MIT App Inventor when attempting to run the emulator through the website.

When we start aiStarter.exe and then launch the emulator from the website, the Android emulator crashes while the aiStarter application continues running indefinitely. I've attached screenshots of the errors. According to Windows Event Viewer, qemu-system-x86_64.exe is the process that repeatedly hangs.

I've tested this on several different Windows systems, and each one fails at the same point. I've also tried multiple web browsers with the same results.

I was curious if the QEMU files currently included with the app inventor may not be fully compatible with more recent versions of Windows? We’re using Windows 11 (various versions 24H2, 25H2 etc.) Someone on another post suggested installing Android studio and copying over the Qemu files to replace the existing ones. Unfortunately, this just results in errors when trying to run the emulation unless I’m doing something wrong.

I also noticed that the bundled Intel HAXM installer fails to install on all of our test systems. I'm not sure whether this is contributing to the issue.

Our district is partnered with PLTW so we have to use MIT app inventor and aren’t provided with alternative emulators.

I avoid aistarter and start my emulator first, then Connect -> Companion.

Same result. Unfortunately, PLTW doesn’t allow us to use other emulators. We have to use this one.

Even using the mit emulator, it is simpler to start the emulator by itself, then start the Companion, then do the Connect from a Project.

Aistarter is like trying to put on socks and shoes together.

You might check if your version of Windows comes with an Android emulator option.
