No more scrollbar indicating with tiny markings the position of the occurrences of searched items through native browser find (Ctrl+F) on AI2 Block Editor

I don`t know when they where lost...
Not so long ago when i was searching for eg. a name (Crtl+F) there were tiny but very helpful marker on the outermost right screen in the Blocks-View that indicated where all your searched items where to find. But sadly they are no more.
Can you please bring them back !?
I have a quite big program and searching is now quite a chellange!

Thank you !!!

You are welcome!

For me it works fine as F3 too

What browser are you using?

Use one of the browser extensions

The search function as such is working fine, but i only get orange and yellow highlights on the items. But until "resently" there were tiny markings on/near the scrollbar indicating the position of the searched items.

I use chrome - (checked edge.. but no luck)

It seems that the emergence of this rolling bar with the marks of the occurrences researched is now subject to the window size and the video resolution used. @Bobby_Count

If you decrease the width of your window it is likely to appear...

@ABG Is this a 'visual' bug that deserves to be reported?

THANK YOU!!

You are correct - i had to reduce the width to about half the size and there they were!
If it can be easily fixed it would be great, but i can live with the workaround meanwile :grinning:

Thanks again Lito

Has MIT ever claimed this behavior as a supported feature?

@Bobby_Count It seems better that you live with the alternative solution, reducing the interface zoom when needed to view more blocks on a reduced screen... because the signs point out that this will not be resolved natively by MIT. ABG is an experienced Power User and knows what he says...

I am not aware of this as an intentional feature. Ctrl-F search is not part of App Inventor. It's part of the browser.

We actually have a block search feature implemented this summer that we hope to release soon. Our version update of the Blockly library is a prerequisite for that feature, and we also hope to (finally) release that soon.
