Can someone please help through fire base and how to get an API i already have an account for doing projects on MIT app inventor i need a fire base for diffrent projects and they rely on firebase extesion to even use and test my projects Codingal Teacher Has to costantly lend it to me help

In the Firebase Console, click on Project Settings, you will find the API key there.

You need to visit the Authentication section in your project, then your API key should appear if you go back to project settings.

I used Chat GPT to walk me through it step my step. It worked great. Here is the prompt I gave it..."Show me how to use fireBase to post a message and to get a message" it knew I was asking quetions about MIT App Inventor and gave me step by step instructions.
By the way, fireBase is a great addition to the 1.2.5 Project in CS Essentials. It allows the students to send alert messages into fireBase and have other students recieve the alerts. PLTW's sample app's use of e-mail is not very realistic, and the use of the API from Hackathon seems a little forced.
