How to switch screens on iOS

A few days ago we received the following message from Evan Patton:

In theory, this sounds convincing. However, in practice, things unfortunately look quite different. So, what exactly is the best approach for switching between screens on iOS devices?

How about providing users with a guide based on a concrete example project? Here is one with a very simple app.

My conclusion is that you should generally close every screen (even, and especially Screen1) whenever you switch to a new screen.

I tested it extensively on several iOS devices (iOS 15.x – 27.x).
If there’s a better way, let me know! :folded_hands:

Note: You must test it with the compiled app (IPA), as the app will crash after some time when using Companion.

What is the purpose of the combination TimerEnabled true/false?
Isn't that redundant?

True, they are superfluous but harmless. In my original project, I also had a timer event, so I wanted to disable the timer on each screen before switching.
