The Discourse software used for the App Inventor Community automatically closes topics for comments after a period of inactivity of seven days. When there has not been activity, the thread closes ( This topic was automatically closed 7 days after the last reply. New replies are no longer allowed.)
You can prevent the thread from closing by slightly editing the post at anytime before the 7 days.
I think anyone who originated the post can re-activate it by just posting (I am not sure). If you get locked out, contact a moderator and they will re-active the thread.
