Use localhost for testing

It had a different IP 192.168.1.6

I re-installed Abyss and still no ! It will display online URLs. Everything but localhost 192.168.1.5.

Have you turned off the firewall on your 192.168.1.5 host computer ?

Do this, then try:

http://192.168.1.5/index.html

on your phone again, both in the native browser and using a webviewer

Also try from your 192.168.1.6 computer

Turning off the Domain Network Firewall, the Private Network Firewall and the Public Network Firewall on windows 11 has resolved the problem. I can see localhost.

Now you need to open up port 80 in your Firewall/s so that you can re-enable it.

One example here:

https://wiki.mcneel.com/zoo/window7firewall

Pretty complicated.....

on my Xubuntu Linux machine, simply one command:
sudo ufw allow 80

Turn off Windows Firewall in Windows 10

I guess u use windows. try to use Xampp. Then use the http://192.168.1.5/index.html

I said same thing in 3rd post. :joy:

Abyss runs php just fine

Xampp does too.
It might have worked for him or might not, but at this point we don't know nor can say anything about that.

The issue was not about php, it was to do with the firewall on his computer

Oh, right then.

First make another html file and give some codes to it and then try to run first with directory path like ./name.html then try to run it on a local host if u have vs code download the plugin live server and try to run it with same wifi then... Say what happens

kinda it works fine for me

what u said makes logic cause sometimes abyss can break cause it happened with me also cannot run on "localhost " better use xampp
