In the charset parameter of the text block try using one of the following options: Cp874, Cp838, TIS620, ISO-8859-1, ISO-8859-11 also the code page may not be necessary 255 for your printer, btw what's the printer model and brand?
I have also encountered a similar issue like you, despite changing various charsets and printing in different languages, the output always prints strange characters like:

Even after adjusting the blocks to print from "image," the result remains unchanged.
It may be necessary to set up the printer driver for each different type of printer? (I am using a Brother wifi printer).
Furthermore, I hope the author can add QR code: Code-128. It is not available in this extension

I don't know that extension, but I know AI2 uses utf-8, not utf-32

Hi, I don't think it's related to the extension but to the way you handle permissions. I'd recommend you to do some debugging in different scenarios to check if the app has access to file on different Android Versions, or go the easier way and place the files in ASD (app specific directory)

You can, but have in mind the printing could take longer depending on the image size and your network speed as the image still needs to be downloaded
