Is there another way please

Hi all, This is a Bit of a Bummer i have made a soundboard with 15 buttons and sounds with 2 screens i went to build and it says (sorry cant build can only build up to 30mb but my app is 34.62) I know i have gone the long way around building it but i don`t understand other ways. I have 15 buttons, 15 sound files, 15 jpeg pics for the buttons all individual blocks for each, as i said this is probably the long way around this, does anyone know where i can watch a tutorial in easy to understand format please, or is there a more advanced option of being able to buy more megabits to make my app bigger.

If you're close to completion, you could export the aia and try to build it on
code.appinventor.mit.edu

If you are insatiable, look for ways to compress your media files before uploading them to AI2.

The aia file is a zip file, that can be examined using the free 7zip program.
Your files are in the assets subfolder.

Thank you for your replies, it looks like i`m stuck here I can not Build an A.A.B or an APK neither can i export a A.i A I guess the only way around that is to delete from the app i have built until it gets to less than 30mb

You can build apk/aab without containing assets, download them in device later as App's resources files after app install.

Thanks for all your help, I have reduced the app size to as far as i can and is now 25.3mb i can then choose to compile as APK. it loads everything needed and i get the barcode come up to download APK but when i click to download i get error message... cant reach page every time i try it, is there another way i can get my APK, I did manage to download the AiA file which is 25 mb but don`t know what to do with that ?

Upload the aia to Google Drive and post the link or send it to me via PM.

Did you try importing it to the code server and compiling it there?

No i just used the way i normally do, is that worth a try then ?

can you load bigger MB through code.appinventor.mit.edu
to be honest the file is 25.3 but i have stripped some out of it that i really wanted to keep in, but as i couldnt i had to go the basic route, if i can use bigger files then great i can add it again, heres hoping

You can improve the performance of your app by vastly reducing the size of your images and audio files, which will have the added bonus of being small enough to compile in the ai2 main server.

For images, look at the size of the component you are displaying an image in, these should be the min/max dimensions for your image.

I opened one audio file (queen of diamonds...) do you really need 30 seconds of silence at the beginning, and then the repitition of the same phrase 10+ times ? Are the other files the same ?

peter thank you so much for all the info you have provided me, i will def look at it all, i am keen to learn, as you can probably tell i have not long started on here. but i love the fact that you are here to help

Try this one:

hello TIMA12 thank you for your reply, it would help if i said what the app is about so here goes. I am a Magician and i have built Electronics to be a part of my new effect, which is a Bone Inductor, so the App is so i can send audio files to my bluetooth device, answer to your questions i have incorporated the delay so that in performance the audio track does not start straight away, and the repitition is so that it gives a little time for my audience member to make out..in their head.. what the sound relates to... does that make sense please

I changed their size to 10%:

As you can tell im not very good at this yet, im Learning and starting to understand more but obviously that will take time. as you say that you changed size to 10% could you please tell me how you did that so that i can then make the changes i need. the app is only a fraction of what i wanted but i had to settle for what i have got

I use IrfanView and a batch command to resize all images to 10%.

"...the changes i need"
The images should be a size that they actually need (in the app).

Does my aia work for you? Can you download the APK?

sorry have you sent me an aia after looking at it, i cant see anything ?
