How do you use the File Component?

I was just wondering, How do you use the File Component because I cant figure it out without my files being massive strings of numbers. I barely understand the component and need help. Can anyone help me?

I want to create a drawing app where you can download your image as a PDF

OK, and you want to use the File component to do what exactly ?

A drawing app would use a canvas, where you can save the output to an image file. There are extensions available that can create pdfs.

Nevermind, I need help with the KIO4 Pdf extension, I don't know how to use it.
