FIXED: It was a VPN protocol issue. ORIGINAL MSG: The emulator companion is not loading this morning. I have tried reloading the screen, reinstalling the app etc. It scans the QR Code but the load bar doesn't appear and nothing happens. My android phone just updated its software but it's still not working. I recently started using a VPN. Can this effect it?
I would start with the VPN as a suspect.

It sounds like the VPN might be causing the issue. VPNs can sometimes block or slow down connections needed for the Emulator Companion to load properly. Since you mentioned it was fixed after adjusting the VPN protocol, that confirms it.
If you run into this again, try disabling the VPN temporarily or switching to a different protocol to see if that helps. Also, clearing the app cache or restarting your device can sometimes resolve loading problems.
