Difference between CompCreator and DynamicComponents?

Hi all. I've encountered these two extensions:

I personally use CompCreator since that's the first one I used, I noticed DynamicComponents while looking at an acquaintance's project.

I've seen CompCreator's documentation site, and the part where it says that it is inspired by DynamicComponents. Question is, what's the difference between the two?

CompCreator's latest update was announced around this date: 29 January 2024, while DynamicComponent's latest update was tagged in 3 April 2024, so I assume both extensions are actively maintained.

I don't see a massive difference in block sets, and both offer similar functionality with differing implementation methods, so I do not see a big advantage between either

Hi Metricrat. Thanks for the clarification!

If the differences really are just in how they're implemented and interfaced with in the editor, then I'll keep continuing using CompCreator : )
