Clock sensor does not fire when screen times out and turns off

I made a simple app that use e clock sensor to control my phisical inactivity times sitting at PC. When the screen of my phone times out (is set to maximum 30 minutes) the sensor stops firing and will restart as I restart the screen.
It is correct? Is possible to avoid the sensor to stop firing?
TimerAlwaysFires is ON.
