[BUGS nb200] App Inventor inutilisable (unusable)

This should be reclassified under the bug report for the regression of the right click improvement in the blocks editor.

Can't get to my PC for some hours to find it.

Hi Ferran,
May be you found something similar to what I reported here?

You must be right about the reason for the blocks to become bigger.
I checked that the same happens in my old projects in Scratch
(May be both AppInventor and Scratch use a common interface to display blocks ¿called blockly?)

Yes.It is the same mistake.

When you click on the All Component window, it gets smaller and an error occurs when you try to add a label in the tabular layout, causing the tabular layout to become larger and causing problems with labels overlapping. How do I return it to its original state?

The blocks part is very slow

Hello, I have an application created with Inventor for 5 years, the truth is that it is perfect, I always like to go in and improve it from Firerox because it is quite large, but yesterday without increasing any block the movements from the blocks are very slow, it is practically impossible Basically, the computer I use is quite powerful and previously it was very fast and fluid, I don't know what is happening, thank you.

For a large project, I always collapse all the blocks, only expand the one I'm working on.

Hello, yes I also do exactly the same, the project has 20MB, but I have not increased any blocks, in December the block screen was very fluid and fast and now it works very very slowly, as I say, without increasing the size of the project , I have tried several browsers, I work with Firefox, thanks

Dragging blocks to the Trash can scrolls the screen completely right to the end before the lid opens.

When deleting blocks, there is no longer a warning popup

Yes. I also use large pojects, and I have noticed the same.
The projects are much slower to load and display (both in design and block screens).
You can even see a first incomplete view, and have to wait several seconds more for the full view.

Sticky Toffee Blocks

twice now this has happened. I have moved a blocked, but then it never actually drops, despite my efforts. Is this a new feature I am misunderstanding? Some sort of sticky key thing?

The same happened to me (I use FireFox).
When trying to snap a block to another one, it does not snap, the block keep sticky selected, it goes around and it can't be released.
The interface is so unusable!

It seems it's not just me with some issues. I like some of the new features, but added up, all the little faults can make it tedious. The scrolling, which I thought was fantastic, is way to sensitive. It feels as though the block is the trigger and not the XY position of the mouse, so scrolling is chaotic. The sticky toffee blocks, Tim's comment about the garbage bin; all my blocks fly left into never never land. I too have experienced the slow down whilst moving things around in a larger file, 6 Mb and up. There was always about 1.2 to 2 second delay in mouse activity. (In my case a touch pad) and then sometimes the block would click into a completely different receptacle in a complete random, unexplained spot, vacating the block that was there. I discovered that by moving the block slowly downwards that the correct receptacle would highlight but the sensitivity of the mouse pointer was being measured in singe pixels.
I trust that these issues are being taken care of, much like any new release of software, there will be bugs.
Is there anyway we can switch back and forth between new and old IDE in the meantime??

Try the code server meanwhile, which is still on nb199

Taifun

get an odd log in screen and a couple ways to get in, but end in a brand new account either way. As in no access to my projects. I will try though and figure it out.
There isn't (seemingly) a way to log in with an existing account, only anonymous and a google account which, like I said, ends in a brand new account screen.

The companion app will also be the wrong version on your chromebook (if you updated to 2.74), so the code server is not really available to you...

Do you recall what you did to trigger the warnings in the first place? That could help us narrow down where in the warning handler code the issue occurs.

They just have to click "Not Now" when prompted about the incompatible versions. The only change in the companion in this release was to fix loading of multiple extensions.

Hello

To avoid jumping into the interstellar void of space-time and falling into wormholes, while waiting to find a working interface, I place or move blocks by reducing them first and then expanding them once the operation is done.

Kind regards

It happens random when I delete isolated blocks in the Designer.
