Any extension added will cause the companion to crash and never ever to communicate again with the companion even after removing the extension...as these use to work fine up to 2 months ago

Does this happen with one of your projects?
Which extensions are you talking about?
Did you try to add an extension to a new project?

-It happens on the projects I am working on, 3 at least and also with new ones.
-Extension in question: Taifun tools and it seems it is across any extension
-Yes

After the last update of the companion things are not that smooth...at least it solved the navigation issue.

Check if you are using the latest Companion:

Yes I am using the latest companion, firmware of smartphone, latest UI aswell.

I confirm that when I add the Taifun tools extension the companion does not show anything on the screen. I started a new project using the latest interface of App inventor including the companion. Everything works ok but as I add the taifun tools extension nothing is displayed on the companion.

So you are working on your project, connected to the companion, and then adding an extension? You have to restart the companion after adding any extension.
