Why some code used ListPicker as Bluetooth connect button?

Hi,
I saw some designer used ListPicker as Bluetooth connecting button, is it necessary or can use button also?

Because the BluetoothClient1.AddressesAndNames block returns a list. If more than 1 item is returned then the user will need to select which one.
