What is the recommended tablet for students to use to test app

I teach virtually and we want to provide the students with tablets to test their apps. They currently have chromebooks to create the apps. What some recommended tablets for testing?

Recommended compatible android tablets

I am a teacher putting together an order for a class set of tablets to use with MITAI. I found this list (https://appinventor.mit.edu/explore/ai-compatible-devices) but I want a suggestion from the developers. I ran into issues with the kindle in the past (no gyro), and I do not want a repeat.
