To lessen the load on my radio app which is less time consuming a URL or a IP address with port number for streaming? I am noticing a delay about 4 seconds before it starts to play.
Not sure what you mean by "less consuming" but IP is slightly better in my opinion.
The URL will need to be resolved via DNS and thus adding a slight delay.
However, in most cases the delay is probably a few milliseconds and wouldn't be noticable.
Sadly the delay is in seconds and not milliseconds. I can get the IP but not the port its playing on. But thanks. I tried finding it in Google console and found a port but not sure if MIT App Inventor supports that port number. I agree Ken an IP would definitely be faster for sure.
