Unable to launch emulator

Good evening,

I am new to app inventor. I downloaded the program, disable antivirus, and closed all apps, but I am still unable to connect. The system stays on the message below.

I installed and re_installed the program, and i received the same results.

I think you should open the emulator while the project is open

Did you read all the instructions showing how to install, the use the emulator with the App Inventor Designer described here step-by-step? Instructions. What you see on the black screen is normal if you start the emulator (aiStarter) and do not do a Connect>Emulator from the Designer. Re-read Step 3 in the above Instructions link and try again.

You don’t need to launch an emulator, it is much easier and more reliable to use your own android device with the AI Companion app
Test your project via Connect / AI Companion

Tell us a little about the Project you tried to connect to the Companion, and which Connect pulldown option you used.
