Timer and Device battery

I am wondering if anyone know device battery used of the MIT App if a timer was used extensively. I would launch the app when I awake and start a timer. The timer would notify me hourly and reset. This would continue until bedtime when I would stop the timer. I am nervous that it will drain the device battery in a few hours. Any knowledge on this?:

Background. I would log my medicine being taken. I need to hourly log my symptoms (using a spinner) while I am awake. I will be sending this to GoogleSheets for analyzing effectiveness.

Thanks for reading!

You can probably expect a minimum of @ 6% per hour if you keep an app awake on your phone all the time (roughly the same as if you use iToo for a background event)

Is there a different method I should focus on instead? BTW I have learned a lot from all your other post in the community. Thank you so much!

Do you use google calendar, or another online calendar, that can send notifications to your phone when events arise ?

I do not. I was hoping to keep it all inside MIT.

Use an alarmmanager, this can notify you when it is time to do something

I can offer this paid alarmmanager extension App Inventor Extensions: Alarm Manager | Pura Vida Apps which offers additionally some advanced features
