I have checked to make sure everything is plugged in and that the aiStarter is running, yet it refuses to work!!1!1!11111!!!!!!!!11!!!1!

How many instances of aistarter.exe and adb.exe do you see in Windows Task Manager?
Killing old instances can clear up this problem with a fresh start.
Using a different emulator with the Connect->Companion option avoids this problem.

Also knowing which browser you are using is helpful as different browsers have different ways they interact with aiStarter due to security reasons.
