Stop phone screen from turning off while using the app

I'm using Andres Cotes Camera Viewer Recorder extension. If I leave the phone untouched, the phone screen will turn off. But when the phone screen turns off, the video recording extension stops recording. I was wondering how would I disable the phone from going to sleep while I'm using the app?
