Hi,
the DesignerProperties of an extension are sorted by name when displayed in the designer window. A sorting option (maybe simple a number) would help to group them thematically.

Something that I implemented in PUNYA was grouping by category, but I could also see this being useful. If you're comfortable, you could submit a pull request to GitHub to add this for us to review. We don't really have the development resources to implement this at this time.
