I would know the value of a specific column of a row by clicking anywhere in the row

Are you referring to the Tableviewer extension, or something else ?

With the Tableviewer click event, capture the row and use this as an index to return the entire row (as a list) from the original dataset.

Example

Then you can select the index of the required column to return the value.
