Seeking Guidance to Enhance Skills and Contribute to MIT App Inventor

Hi Everyone,
I hope you're doing well! I’m currently in the 2nd year of my BTech, focusing on Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and JavaScript to strengthen my skills and align with my goal of becoming a software engineer.

Recently, I discovered MIT App Inventor, which simplifies app development and encourages creative problem-solving. Its focus on building impactful applications resonates with my aspiration to develop solutions that make a difference. I’m eager to contribute and learn from this platform.
I’m particularly interested in exploring opportunities to contribute to initiatives such as the Google Summer of Code (GSoC), as I believe programs like these offer a great platform to collaborate on significant projects and learn through hands-on experience.

Could Anyone guide me on how to start and make meaningful contributions Should I focus on the projects listed in the Project Ideas section, or would it be better to start by addressing issues and contributing directly to the MIT App Inventor GitHub repository? Your advice would be invaluable!

Thanks so much!

Best,

Welcome @DivynashuNYK. Once you have a local build up and running, I'd suggest taking a look at the issues marked "help wanted" on GitHub. While the Project Idea list can be used for inspiration, we won't know what next year's project list will look like yet.
