Getting new android tablets for the classroom. What is the ideal amount of RAM for the android companion?

While the companion can run on devices with even a small amount of RAM (it still runs on Android 2.1 with only 16 MB allowed per process, 512 MB max RAM), most tablets today should give you somewhere between 2-4 GB of RAM. Ultimately, the amount of RAM you will need will depend on the types of apps you build in your classes. Media heavy apps using images or videos will demand more RAM. More textual interface usually need less.
