Possible to use Arduino Accelerometers?

I am wondering if it is possible to use an arduino Accelerometer, like the Adxl345, instead of the phones Accelerometers to show data to the phone app over bluetooth. Thanks

Yes it is - any data from any sensor or other source can be sent to an App. If you can tell us more about your project we can give more up-front advice.
