Is there an extension comparable with the webview to play videos off the web like YouTube for free? because I cant find any
You should be able to use webviewer (with or without an extension) or customwebview to view web videos.
So I forget but the videos work but are very buffery and lag a lot plus with webviewextra it can't go full screen.
No buffering or lag here (on wifi). Fullscreen is another matter.

There appears to be a solution here would require more code in webviewextra (this is not really what webviewextra is for) or a separate extension, but there is no guarantee it would work.

but I want to use webviewextra for the fact of the downloading and tabs capabilites
