You may have to change the permission settings (Anyone with the link can respond) of google forms. I may be right, experiment it.
No I have already advised you, @S.V_Arul_Shiju, that this is not necessary to send data via a google form. Please stop making misleading and confusing posts.
@TIMAI2 , When i tested now, Google Form is accepting new data via the app only if I never restrict the permission on Responders view. In first picture, I restricted the permission.
Correct me if I am wrong again. Sometimes it may be new update of Google, I don't know.
When I changed the settings in such a way that anyone can respond to Google Form, it accepted new data via app.
As I have said, it is not necessary. Do not know where you find those Published options...
Publish/Share options are available at top right of google-form website on desktop screen. By clicking 'manage' option, we can see the settings.
Seems only for you are Manage/Publish/Share available.
Either by clicking on the published button or the human-icon at the left side of the published button, we can change the permission settings.
I visited Google Sheet first and clicked on tools option then clicked on 'create a new form' or 'manage' to enter into the google form page.
As I said, I do not have those buttons/ selections
How/Why did you publish the form ?
Because, it didn't work before I publish. So, I tried lot of random things like publishing it as well and tried changing the settings also later.
None of that should be necessary. Just (using the same google account):
- Create google form
- Link the form responses to a spreadsheet
- Submit responses (directly from form or using prefilled link syntax).
- review responses in spreadsheet
I tried now as you said above, PUBLISH option is appearing as usual.
My purpose is to send data to google form using app, and so the data will be automatically updated to Sheet.
OK, you are correct, and my apologies, NEW forms now have the accept responses moved to the Publish button. This is not necessary with existing forms before the change.
For any new Google Form, you must publish and give respondents "Anyone with the link" access.
I will update my guide.
