I am a teacher from London who would like to use the Fake Voices tutorial with my students (year 9) but when they connect and click on the “Click here to go to the sidebar tutorial in App Inventor” link, nothing happens. They just have a display of the project page with nothing in it. For the record, they all connect via there school email. Any idea why it happens? Thank you.
A guess is that your school IT is blocking the link that the tutorial connects to. Because the tutorial part of the aia is blocked makes it impossible for your students to load the aia.

If I’m not wrong, you have to complete the app following the tutorial, adding the last few items.
