NFC Write Empty Tag

I have been working on an app trying to read and write with NFC using the standard NTAG 215 with the NearField component provided by MIT App Inventor.

Everything seems to work fine, Except the fact that i have to write a text from another app like NFC tools first to format the card in order to make it work with MIT APP Inventor. Anyone have any ideas on how to overcome this issue?

If you don't format the card with a different app like NFC tools with a text. The operating system bypasses the app and reads "New tag scanned: Empty tag". Unable to write, unable to read with App Inventor app.

Anyone have any last second ideas before this topic gets lost in the abyss?

NFC tags have always been an issue using App Inventor, what the community knows. . Developers have issues with different brands of tags, formatting etc. The link is a summary of users issues and sometimes solutions; hopefully one of the discussions will help you.

For the moment, your formatting solution may be what you need to do. :thinking: if you want to work with NFC and App Inventor.
