It's a shame that when designing the new user interface, they didn't take advantage of the opportunity to change the white background to grey or black, so as not to harm the users' eyesight. Changing only the background colour, without affecting blocks or design components.

From what the MIT team said, I understood that the dark theme will be implemented after the blockly plugin update. The designer could be dark now, but the block editor would still have a white background...
I think the smartphones themselves actually do the best job on eye protection and that makes sense because it's under the control of the User and set for all Apps.
Ok thanks, I hope it only affects the background, not the colors of the blocks.

Ah. Well, you do/should have eye protection settings available on your Monitor, but I appreciate that the App Inventor background could bear that in mind as typically people do spend a lot of time in front of their computer screen. One of the App Inventor clones has a particularly scary colour arrangement.
