hey everyone! I want to try making an app that allows users to search any clothing brand and see how ethical it is (i.e. how it treats its workers, does it use animal testing, how harmful is it to the environment, etc.) that also recommends slow fashion alternatives of those brands, but i dont know where to start. Are there any youtube channels or tutorials anyone would recommend to help me get started with learning how to make this type of app? any help would be appreciated!

Here are some resources to help you learn to use the AI2 tools. A very good way to learn App Inventor is to read the free Inventor's Manual here in the AI2 free online eBook http://www.appinventor.org/book2 ... the links are at the bottom of the Web page. The book 'teaches' users how to program with AI2 blocks. You might do something like this Is there any way to implement Place Types in App Inventor? using an ActivityStarter.

Away from the App coding, what you wish to do is a very serious matter. If any of the material you publish in your App is not true, you could get into a whole heap of trouble.
