I recently updated an app, when uploading the .abb to google play it wasn't accepted.
The play console said "Your APK or Android App Bundle needs to have the package name 'appinventor.ai_stmxxxx.xxxxxxx.'"
The only way I could get it accepted was to set the AppName in the general section of Project Properties to what google said it should be.
But that is not the name of the app that the customer should see.
I believe that before the property section was added the 'appinventor.ai_stmxxxx.xxxxxxx.' app name wasnt visible to the customer, now it is and it seems that 'appinventor.ai_stmxxxx.xxxxxxx.' is what appears on the customers phone under the app icon.
The app name in properties seems to set the package name also.
Am i missing something ??
Your procect name is part of the package name
The app name from the properties can be different
appinventor.ai_EMAIL.PROJECTNAME
