I am looking for help to create an application with educational purposes for students and their parents, but which could be useful to other people. Paid solutions beyond the reach of a teacher are available. So I have to do without it.
The idea is to be able to send SMS messages to students and their parents, simply by sending an email.
For this, an old Android phone with a SIM card for €2/month could do the trick and serve as a gateway.
The application would therefore have to go every x minutes to consult the emails (pop server with login and password) and send the small email content by SMS to the number which would be the subject of the email. See even why not, several numbers separated by a comma in the subject of the email.
I think it's possible, but I don't have enough experience to make this application quickly. I am therefore looking for a generous and competent person who could help me with this project which aims to monitor students and generate links with families without each teacher being obliged to provide their personal telephone number.
For security, it might be interesting to think about the possibility of creating a whitelist of emails from senders authorized to send SMS...
