This evening between 08/08/2026 at 23:00 UTC and 03:00 UTC on 08/09/2026, we will be upgrading the backend database used by ai2a.appinventor.mit.edu.
The system will not be down the entire time but will have several periods of time when it will not be available. Each period of unavailability will likely only last a few minutes.
During downtime, people will see a red error bar in App Inventor claiming a “500” error, possibly stating “No Available Server.”
Similarly, attempts to login may result in a page claiming “No available server.”
If you see the red error bar while logged in, wait a few minutes and move a block or make some other minor change to your project to force another attempt to save your project.
If you have trouble logging in, close your browser window and try again in a few minutes.
code2.appinventor.mit.edu should be unaffected.
