MIT App freezing between Chromebook and iPad

Hi,

We're experiencing an issue when using MIT App Inventor in the browser on Chromebooks and connecting to the MIT Companion app on our iPads. Both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. The Chromebooks are freezing at 20%. The iPad is also freezing, which looks closer to 40%.

The Chromebook is using the Chrome Browser
The iPad is on Version: 2.73.1 (build 2)

Could this be a network port issue or a device compatibility problem? Any advice or fixes would be appreciated. (The crazy thing is, 1st and 3rd period work just fine, but 8th period does not)

My class is having the exact same issue. Our tech person is trying to figure it out without much luck.
