Metronome tic unsync

Hi,
I have programmed a Metronome and it works fine except for one thing. Sometimes, not everyday, the tic stops for a few seconds while the countdown goes on (on any beat per min). Blocks for both, countdown and tic, are within the same clock.

The only I can think of, is a busy thread blocking the tic sound playing. (from my reading) or a too old phone.

I am using an old Samsung Galaxy S4 with Android 5.0.1

Any idea on what’s going on?
