Hello, I am using the "Boston tourguide" program from the MIT App Inventor CTCT curriculum.
I have updated to the 6.4 version of the Companion
When I look at the designer screen, the map shows.
When I connect my tablet via USB the map doesnt show.

The clicks and long clicks work, only the map doesnt show on the main screen. Is this a firewall issue?
Possibly. The tablet screen shows a Wifi connection, but does that Wifi connection provide Internet access? If it's a corporate or school Wifi, does it allow for outgoing connections to OpenStreetMap's tile servers at a.tile.openstreetmap.org, b.tile.openstreetmap.org, and c.tile.openstreetmap.org?
ok, yes, there is a wireless connection to the internet which come to find out needs another login. Small steps and I will finally get where I need to be. Thanks for the suggestions.
