Make my app run in the background to play a sound after shaking

Hi friends, I have a simple app that makes a whipping sound when you shake your phone. Is it possible to make it run in the background? Is there an extension for this?

blocks

Can you help me with that please, I'm a newbie with App Inventor.

Thanks in advance for your help.

You just had to do a little research on the community:
search

The extension proposed above is only the fourth result...

Thank you @Taifun I've tried it, but it doesn't seem to work with .mp3 sounds.

My idea is that the app, once opened (but not closed), will continue to work while using other apps.

These are my blocks; I've also attached my code file.

Please, I appreciate the help; I'm just learning how to use App Inventor.
Thank you very much in advance.

Set the source of the sound in blocks, not in the designer
How long are these sounds? If longer than 5 sec use the Player component
Currently you try to play the sound twice per second, is that what you want?

Does the example project from the link work for you?

This will work in the background if your app is closed
