Hi, I have recently setup the development environment and looking for some beginner friendly and good first issues to solve so that I get a hang of development (there is no good first issue label on the github repo) .since this is the first time I am actually working on an open source project so any help will be highly appreciated.

The issues labelled “help wanted” are probably the best issues to get started with contributing to App Inventor. They are not all beginner friendly and some can come across as tricky, but just pick the ones that you feel the most comfortable doing.

To build on what @bartmathijssen said, please leave a comment on an issue if you plan to work on it and one of the staff members will give you pointers.
