Login under Google not working

I haven't been here for a few months.
I am now being told to login under Google login.
BUT I have a problem with my Google account where the email address has changed. If I log in under my Google account, now that my membership name no longer applies, then all my projects have gone and I just get a blank account.
SURELY someone must have thought about something like this happening?
Help?

One of the other Power Users did the Assign for me.
(I was on my phone, and my fingers were too fat for the administrative menues)

I don't know any power users.
I PM'd @Susan_Lane but no reply yet. (No compaints, I know everyone is busy, but I'm at a standstill until I can get this sorted.)

Huh. I did read this thread and wrote a reply to the PM, but it doesn't look like I actually sent it. You'll be hearing from me presently.
