java.lang.RuntimeException: no such class com.puravidaapps.TaifunPlayer

I get this when trying to use Taifun extension:

Interestingly the test app was working once. Now I tried it again, and it does not work anymore.
Thanks

Hello Johny, welcome to the Forum.

Ensure you have the most recent version of the Extension.

Thanks, Chris,
I checked right now, and it is the latest from App Inventor Extensions: Audio Player | Pura Vida Apps

Btw I am using USB connection if it makes any difference.

No issues here with USB and TaifunPlayer (on one of my test devices running Android 12).

Check if your Companion is up to date with the AI2 server.

Thanks for the help. I did several things, including reinstalling the Companion App as well as MIT tools on the PC, and it works ok for now. I will let you know if it comes back.

The problem did come back with USB.
I realized I could use mobile data and dropped the USB cable altogether. Have not had problems since. :slightly_smiling_face:
If it helps, there was another error message (see below). It seems like the app is trying to get something from the net but fails, and it should have because mobile data and wifi were off, and it should have gotten it from the USB.
Let me know if you would like me to gather more information. :handshake:
