Is there any instruction to avoid the phone pause mode?

I have developed a table tennis scorer and I have a small problem.
Sometimes the time elapsed between two points in a game is over 1 minute and then, as I don't touch the screen, the phone automatically enters in pause mode and the screen turns off.
I know that the user can avoid this in phone settings, but can I include any instruction in the program to avoid this ???
