Is the extension-template project deprecating?

I have posted an issue to its Github site -- https://github.com/mit-cml/extension-template/issues/9, but still got no response from anyone after one month.

I've replied to the issue on GitHub. The project is not deprecated, but it's provided more as a convenience and is maintained mostly on an as needed basis given the size of our team and the number of ongoing development projects.

Sorry, I have posted a reply on that Github site. But again, no one replied for more than two weeks. So, should I place my issue here instead?
