In 2026, are there still many people using MIT App Inventor 2 to create apps? With AI tools everywhere, is it still valid to teach kids programming concepts such as for loops, while loops, and if-then-else logic through blocks? I have some doubts about this subject. As a coding teacher, I’m wondering what I should do with App Inventor. What’s your approach?

People should learn the basics of programming, and not just kids.
How on earth will you be able to debug code if you do not know the fundamentals.
If you develop and rely solely on AI-generated code and do not verify the code, AI can easily inject malicious code into your application.
