iOS Development Possible Without iOS Device Newbie Question

Hello,

I also would like to publish my android apps as iOS apps in the app store, but I cannot afford the money for an iOS device. Is the emulator enough for iOS testing? I tried the emulator for android, but I was not able to open the app. On the other hand, I have heard, that apple wants sometimes tests, which the developer can only provide with a real apple device.

Of course, I know, that I have to pay yearly 99 dollars for the right to upload apps in the app store. This I could do perhaps do in December 25. I know that devices are registered in the apple account. Does apple accept, if a developer has no iOS device?

What is the average price for an iOS app in the app store? What do I need to do, that I am allowed to create iOS apps in AI2? To whom should I write? Thanks.

Best,

Martina

You can test your app with a iOS devices (the AI2 Companion is the same for Android and Apple). Read the AI2 Companion QR whit one Apple device.

After the Ai2 Companion tests are well you need test your app whit an IPA build (similar to an APK Android but for iOS). For these tests you need register one iOS device in the Apple platform and then you can test whit the IPA Ad-Hoc in this Apple device. Acces to the normal Ai2 server:

You need pay only to upload Apps to the Apple Store.

Hello Simon, Thanks, but how can I register an iOS device for testing in my account, if I do not have one? Thanks.
Best,
Martina

It is not possible. Off course, you need to buy one or borrow one from a friend.
