Hello everyone,
My name is Raksha AK, and I’m a student interested in open-source development.
I’m keen on contributing to MIT App Inventor and would like to prepare by contributing actively, with the goal of applying for Google Summer of Code 2026.
I’ve started exploring the community and repositories, and I’d appreciate guidance on how to get started — such as recommended repositories, beginner-friendly issues, or documentation to go through.
I’m happy to start small, learn the codebase, and contribute consistently.

Will MIT App Inventor participate in GSoC 2026?

We plan to apply next year. Google has different priorities for participating organizations every year, so we're not guaranteed a place. When we have information to share, I'll post it, but it won't be until early next year.
