Image attachments with the Texting component

Hello!

I would like to be able to attach images to sms messages sent using the Texting component. I can include a link to an image in a message but preferably I would like to download the image and attach it to the message. I can't see any facility for this on the Texting component.

Is there an existing way to do this? Or an existing extension? (I couldn't find any with a preliminary search)
If not, how difficult might it be to create my own extension for this? I am an experienced programmer but new to MIT App Inventor.

Try with the sharing component

Well, what you wish to use is MMS then, which App Inventor does not support. If you search the forum you will find how to invoke Whats App, that might work with images. Another possibility would be email.
