I'm reporting a bug I'm experiencing in MIT App Inventor. Whenever I insert a new tool, such as a button, I can no longer open the associated block panel. This problem occurs even if the project is complex and has trouble opening. I don't think the project size is the cause. Instead, I think the problem is the designer's screen itself, because it no longer responds and the blocks don't open. Furthermore, when I close and reopen the project, I struggle to open it and have to reload the .aia file to reopen it. I kindly ask you to check this out, as I'm currently unable to continue with my work. Thank you very much for your attention and support. I look forward to hearing from you and thank you again for your help.
This URL allows you to open AI2 to the Project List, without opening any project.
http://ai2.appinventor.mit.edu/?autoload=false
From that list, you can request Exports of Projects without trying to open them.
If you require repair assistance, upload the aia file here.
Blocks Toolkit
Check your Project Properties to make sure you have
Blocks Toolkit = default
Also, consider switching to the code.appinventor.mit.edu server
MIT App Inventor is a very useful and powerful tool, but I have also noticed other bugs and usability issues. For example, when deleting projects, it is often necessary to manually reload the page before the deleted project disappears from the list.
In my opinion, the entire platform could benefit from a general review and optimization, because these issues make it difficult to work smoothly on large or complex projects.
Despite this, I still believe MIT App Inventor is an excellent tool with great potential.
Additionally, I do not feel comfortable publicly uploading my personal project. However, I believe I have described the bug as clearly as possible, and I hope you can try to resolve the issue.
Thank you again for your support and understanding.
